More information about the Someday Foundation

The Someday Foundation Mission Statement

The Someday Foundation was created when two friends decided to try to help others who have faced, or are facing a catastophic medical crisis, after personally experiencing such challenges themselves.

With humbling beginnings, a group of guys organized a golf outing of twenty people to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. This golf outing has grown into an annual event with over one hundred participants, raising several thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society, other organizations, but mostly people in need. Up until 2007, this fund-raising event has taken place without any formal structure.

The majority of the funds have been raised in the annual "Swing for a Cure" golf outing. It is at this outing where friends and famiily come together for the common cause of raising money to benefit others in time of need.

Historically, the largest beneficiary of the golf outing has been the American Cancer Society, but that has changed to helping individuals in need of assistance. With the funding of the Someday Foundation, we would like to continue to raise funds through our annual golf outing and possibly through area grants, in turn we want to use that money to grant funds to other nonprofit organizations and individuals in need due to catastrophic medical issues.

As we continue to work hard in our fund-raising activities we hope to expand our events to more than just the golf outing, and am doing so by holding our 3rd annual bowling event in Madison on February 25th, 2012. Branching out in other areas of interest, such as what your group does should help us to raise more funds to continue to support those in need with in our communities.
